Finally, it feels like we can all take a breath and begin to create our new normal.  I’m so happy we now have all our stores open - it’s wonderful to see everyone starting to venture out- safely-and taking baby steps!
I’m sure, like me, everyone is ready to get out of our “lay around the house and project” dress mode and have fun getting dressed in the morning!
Getting out of tee shirts, the first thing I’m loving is an easy, colorful blouse – and this fun floral print from Trovata with a pair of pants from Nili Lotan, CP Shades

or this crisp white cotton pant from the Italian line Transit. A perfect way to start my day or take on a “staycation” this summer!

I do feel our time at home has led to a new category of dressing – the athleisure trend I’ve felt strongly about for the past several seasons, but kicked up a notch.  With so many people working from home and zoom conferencing, there’s a new balance between being comfortable but also looking polished.

There are so many wonderful options in blouses.  Whether cotton, voile, silk or gauze- you’re sure to find just the right one this season.  Go Silk is always a sure bet- this Elizabethan vibe, short sleeve burnout will be a sure hit for any Zoom meeting you might have!  The best part is it looks just as great with a pair of R13 boy skinny white jeans.

For a bit more of a feminine touch, choose this white eyelet blouse from Scarlet Roos.  Still professional enough for work, but just as great for a Saturday night dinner – now that we’re ready to try to get out a bit!  How lucky are we to live in Florida where there are so many terrific outdoor restaurants to safely enjoy?

For all of us on the go, dresses are always a great option. Perfect for work but just as wonderful to throw on to meet a friend for lunch or run errands.  You can’t ask for anything easier than this drop waist dress from V de Vinster.  With its own liner,

your only decision is whether to wear it with a Tkees sandal or your Officine Creative bootie.

So, now that we’re easing back into life – I’m trying to get my food habits back on the right track! I don’t know about you, but I know I was tempted quite a bit the past few months!  Norma Kamali has always been a great inspiration and in March, The New York Times did a fabulous article on her - perfect timing!  Check out the article and a few of her great, healthy recipes!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend…hard to believe but summer is officially here. Let’s enjoy it!
