So summer is almost officially over! I hope everyone had a chance to relax and recharge. Steve and I had a wonderful time exploring the North East this summer...an absolute treat! I saw a statistic that showed 64% of us are eager for Fall while 36% are sad to see summer go! I think I’m definitely in the former group! With all the fabulous fashion and colors coming in for Fall, I can’t wait.
Known for pure ease and comfort, this collection from Norma Kamali is a new take on her always popular side stripe jersey athletic pieces. A fresh new look in a white waffle knit
or how about this super fun jumpsuit?
For everyone who lived in their Sundry roll up pant this summer, I know you’ll want one of the new Fall colors.
Perfect with a new print in a Suzi Roher or Sundry tee.
Ready to funk up your feet a bit? Rick Owens Dark Shadows collaboration with Converse are pure fun!
Besides Moussy’s Diana jean in the denim, the slightly distressed Tyrone in Black is another option for Fall.
I love it paired with this new plaid Frank and Eileen blouse
or for an edgy evening look - how about this fabulous Fuzzi patchwork turtleneck?
So I know you may not be quite ready for sweaters, but oh- do I love a great, comfy one. It must be my Northern background! Don’t worry, I know we’re in Florida and our idea of a cold front is 70 degrees so whether you run hot or cold- we have the sweaters for you. You’ll definitely want one of Minnie Rose’s cotton/cashmere blends or light weight cashmeres this season. Such a fantastic look and terrific price point!
In case you missed out on this fabulous tye dye cashmere hoody from LA designer Galladriel Mattei (I know, it’s hard to wrap your head around cashmere when it’s 90 degrees out there), good news - we just received in our reorder! Aren’t the colors amazing?
But yes, for a truly special addition to your wardrobe for Fall, Avant Toi is always on my list! I just adore the grey zip up hoodie with applique work! A perfect excuse to plan a trip this Winter to the Carolina’s or a ski trip to Colorado!
For any of our snowbirds, this wonderful coat in vibrant colors is sure to perk you up in the dead of winter.
I hope you’re having fun dressing up a bit - going out with friends, maybe even a short vacation! I think we all got used to dressing comfortably the past year, and the nice thing is- there are plenty of choices that are a bit dressier but still comfortable!
This Porto skinny pant with faux leather front and stretch back is a winner! Be sure to call the store to preorder - they’re due the first week of October! Paired with a Rick Owens duster or classic long Frank and Eileen white shirt - you’ll get plenty of mileage out of this over the Fall!
Besides their knits, Avant Toi does amazing work in silks. I’m sure you’ve seen their silk or silk/cashmere pieces in the store in the past. This new washed silk tank and pant collection for Fall is absolutely stunning. I love separates and having the ability to mix and match pieces to create unique outfits. Get creative!
Everyone’s been asking and they’re just in - your handbags for Fall! Vive la Difference has always been one of my favorites. The quality of the leather, unique treatment techniques and classic styling can’t be beat.
Of course, Parisian designer Jack Gomme is always a cult favorite. With their lightweight nylon fabric and easy-to-carry styles, come in and choose from our best selection of the season- and ask to see a couple of new styles they introduced in leather!
If you’ve been following my blog for a bit, you know how much I l adore my shoes and boots! I can’t tell you how wowed I am with this new collection from Italian designer Marco Delli. Not only comfortable, but the attention to detail and artistry of the boots is showstopping!
So DJ girls, looking great is only part of feeling great….If nothing else, this past year made me appreciate how important not just our physical health is but also our mental health. How ironic that I snuck away to the Miraval Resort in Arizona just weeks before it was written up in The Wall Street Journal’s travel section! So let’s remember how important it is to stop, relax and take a breath!
