DEBORAH SHUART

Posted on October 01 2025

It’s been a whirlwind!  After a relaxing summer in gorgeous N. Carolina, it was on to a magnificent wedding in picture perfect Lake Como before heading to Genoa to meet the woman behind one of our favorite Italian lines, Avant Toi.

Watching the creative process that merges fashion and art was truly an experience.  If you didn’t see my post on Instagram - @deborahjamesfashion- check it out. You’ll be in awe!

From there it was on to Milan to meet one on one with some of our other fabulous European designers.  There’s nothing that gets me more excited than getting a glimpse of their inspirations- can you believe I’m already shopping Spring 2026?

Of course, before we start thinking Spring, let’s talk about all the fabulous fashion in the stores now!

Nili Lotan always has some classic offerings with a twist. For the Shon fanatic, switch out your cottons for their new offerings in denim for Fall

TWP’s Joey in charmeuse is the perfect complement.

For a bit of fun, you can’t go wrong with leopard- never out of style!  Whether you wear the tank on its own or pair it back to their cardigan, it’s a great basic for your wardrobe.

I hope you have had a chance to enjoy a piece or two of Extreme Cashmere’s washable cashmere. My absolute favorite is their Tina tee

 and a cardigan.

Always in my suitcase when I travel as they are absolute workhorses to mix and match with all my bottoms!

For those cozy nights, Aries is your choice - a true elevated sweatshirt!

Speaking of cozy, Nili Lotan’s sweatshirt and pant is your perfect travel outfit.

This year's slightly shorter top paired with the slimmer pant will have you traveling in style!

R13’s lace pattern cardigan with a ripped hem  is another option with these Nili pants and a sneaker- or perfect back to any of our new Moussy styles.

As far as bottoms go, Moussy offers some great new options. For that true slim, straight leg with a distressed vibe go for the Bridgeville.

Throw on one of your In Bed with You’s fun cardigans with a Revel tank for an easy look.

In the mood for a straight leg with a bit of a lower rise?  We have the Millsboro!

I love this jean with Avant Toi’s gorgeous metallic tee- the colors are stunning.

The perfect way to elevate this look - Ann Demeulemeester’s open toe heel!

Feeling bold? The Lewes super wide jean is another great new look for Fall.

With a slighter higher rise, this is the perfect jean to wear with TWP’s leather blouson tee with beautiful side button detail at the neck

or go more casual with their twist front, balloon back blouse.

For those days when jeans won’t cut it, beautiful prints and textures from Argentinian designer Viviana Uchitel are the perfect option for a multitude of occasions. Her crinkle skirt worn with a fabulous Rick Owen’s leather jacket and a bootie, is a great choice for a casual daytime look.

A silky Go Silk tee or a boxy Peter Cohen top with your Pedro Garcia heels dresses it up beautifully.

Of course, Peter Cohen is my go to for a dressier look.  Their pieces are so easy to dress up or down just by switching out my layering pieces, accessories or shoes.  Keep an eye on your emails for our upcoming Peter Cohen event.

This gorgeous metallic lace print jacket is a perfect example. I can wear my Revel white ribbed tank top and a pair of my new Moussy jeans for lunch with a girlfriend or go all out with my dressy, wide leg Peter Cohen pant. Versatility is key!

And yes, I’ve been hearing you!  Shawls are finally here!  As always, Faliero Sarti offers prints in the most stunning of colors. Perfect to take with you anywhere, but especially when traveling as they’re the easiest way to add color into your wardrobe!  The finishing touch!

I hope this gives you some inspiration for your Fall wardrobe!  I can’t wait to see everyone back in the stores and hear all about your amazing summer!
