I know it might be hard to believe, but pre fall is already starting to hit the stores - bringing us the hope of cooler weather to come!  While temperatures are record breaking across the country, I have to revel in the 60-70 degree temperatures of N Carolina. Being able to wear some of my lightweight sweaters is such a treat.

Before we start looking at the wonderful things tempting us for Fall, let’s look at the newest in the stores that we can be enjoying now!

White and beiges are my summer colors of choice!  Light, cool and refreshing perfectly describes Transit.  Lightweight, effortless styles and fabrics that can take you anywhere!  Mixing and matching are my tips for summer dressing. Especially if you’re traveling, nothing beats having flexibility in your suitcase!

How easy is this white, drop crotch seersucker trouser?  Just throw on a Revel or Amo tee or, to dress up a bit, pair a tank top and wear the matching short sleeve, shawl collar jacket.

Throw on a bit of black under the jacket with this Enza Costa tank

and finish with this fun new bedazzled ballerina flat from Pedro Garcia

Their drawstring t shirt in a mixed cotton fabrication is a great basic too.

Whether you wear back to Llea Blues Zoey linen maxi skirt or your Amo sailor pant, it’s an easy piece with lots of options!

Summer just calls for an easy pant and Llea Blue’s is the perfect choice. Wide leg, washable in this neutral shade of khaki, it checks off all the boxes. Wear one of your simple tees or opt for an Alexander Laurent cotton sweater!

A change of colors is the easiest way to know Fall is around the corner, and Nili Lotan’s Tribecca pant in this fun camo is a great choice!

For now, pair with a light color tee, tank or blouse. Later, with their classic Raphael cotton button down shirt

or darker Lana tee

or what about TWP’s new updated cotton cowboy shirt?

Speaking of the western influence, doesn’t this new Nili Lotan pinwale corduroy bring back some fond memories?

Extreme Cashmere has to be one of my favorite basics in my wardrobe. A cotton cashmere blend that always makes the cut when I’m packing for my travels in the Fall.  Whether it’s the short sleeve Tina

or new Pip tank top to wear on its own or under a Circolo blazer

or - for the fan of turtlenecks- the Collo,

there is sure to be a style that fits your style!  As their tag line states - “Every body for everybody!

I know summer is just way too hot to even think about denim, but as we head into Fall, denim is the workhorse of our wardrobe!  These days, a good pair of jeans can take you from an afternoon of running errands or going to appointments to a dinner out. A quick change of a top, shoes and a splash of makeup and you can keep on going!

R13 is our premier denim of choice!  The boy straight is a fan favorite.  Great with a sneaker or sandal, but then transitions into Fall and looks amazing with this new ruched suede bootie from Pedro Garcia

or zipper boot from Officine Creative

For a basic wash, choose the new wilted stretch

or go outside the box and try the sateen in this gorgeous charcoal.

We always need some newness and this cuffed Romeo is a fresh option. A relaxed fit that just lends itself to all the fabulous sweaters and tees we’ll have coming in.

There’s always a special R13 sweater that makes the cut and this is it!  In denim friendly shades of blue and splashes of white paint, this slouchy cardigan will be pulling double duty.  Perfect with white jeans or linen now and equally as wonderful worn over a blouse with your new jeans going forward.

For that classic, straight leg jean go for this new offering from Moussy. A bit above the ankle, midrise and a clean wash. The perfect starting points for so many looks heading into Fall.

As much as we’d like to, we can’t live in denim!  Be sure to make it in to see all the wonderful new styles and fabrics from Avenue Montaigne. We all love the ease of this pull on pant - whether it’s the cuffed Ben with pockets,

the crop Leo with a bit of a flair or try something new!

Carla with it’s wide leg and pockets

or go with Grace for a shorter option. Come in and we’ll have some fun!

A touch of femininity is always a welcome addition. Just mix  Forte Forte’s beautiful blouse

with a pair of R13 jeans or an Avenue Montaigne pant. How fabulous is R13’s suede loafer in this gorgeous shade of brown?

Or for a dressier vibe, this Francesco Russo black slide is an absolute must.

Having that perfect dress in your closet is a must for me!

It’s the easiest thing to just throw on and, depending on the accessories, take me just about anywhere! Whether you pair with an Officine Creative slide, a bootie

or opt for one of Francesco Russo’s dressier sandals, you’ll be glad to have one of their dresses as an option.

So here’s to enjoying the last month of summer!  I can’t wait to see everyone back - well rested, full of fun stories and ready to dive in to some fantastic fashions for Fall!
