Before you know it, Spring will “officially” be here - but it’s already here at Deborah James!  Even though I just got back from NY Fashion Week and am heading to Paris to shop for Fall, the stores are in full blown Spring mode!

Your mission on the next rainy day?  Start going through those closets and get ready to switch out  those cashmeres, heavier fabrics and boots to make room for all the vibrant  colors and metallics we have for Spring!

Let’s talk about the trends for Spring so you can start your checklist!

Color!  So I know this scares a lot of my northern DJ girls, but just adding a pop of color can make so much of a difference!  Whether with a blouse, blazer, shoe or shawl - you’re sure to find an option that works for you!

Shake up the classic vibe by pairing with this fabulous woven sandal with raffia trim! What fun!

 More of a true Floridian?  Choose a fun print from Farm Rio

or Go Silk.

Perfect to pair back to a Frank and Eileen pant (hopefully you picked one up after reading last month’s blog), an R13 kick fit jean or a must have CP Shades pant.  Finishing touch - a fabulous (comfortable) wedge from Spanish designer Pedro Garcia. 

For all my expat New Yorker’s, you’ll be happy to know the menswear trend is here to stay!  Italian designer Transit is always one of my Spring favorites.

Wonderful silhouettes, sophisticated tailoring and remarkable fabrics. Pair one of their fabulous blazers back to their linen pants or pull one of your favorite bottoms out of your closet! 

Blazers are continuing to make a huge comeback - and there are so many options to choose from.  Frank & Eileen offers this wonderful stretch denim that’s such a basic.  Pair with their Wicklow chino pants or use it as your reliable standby instead of a denim jacket! 

 Just add an easy Calleen Cordero clog.

Italian designer Avant Toi offers their take with this sweatshirt fabric tie dye blazer and trouser.  I love separates that you can mix and match to create so many options.  Don’t be afraid to experiment!

This Officine Creative mule is a great addition to your shoe collection- versatile and comfortable.

Feeling bolder?  How fabulous is this hand painted boxy, oversize linen blazer from a California designer I discovered?  Such an easy way to freshen up any of our pieces you’ve collected over the years!  The color just pops!

Of course, there are just those days we want to be comfortable and cool- especially if S Florida is home.  Here we turn to easy and oversized!  Brazilian designer Gilda Midani’s pieces are not just creative but wonderfully colorful! 

Fabulous cottons and linens in a collection ranging from dusters to slouchy pants, blouses and tees!  There’s sure to be something that speaks to you!

We haven’t had Japanese designer Shinyaseki in the store for a bit, but this latest collection is fantastic! 

Choose from their flyaway button front asymmetrical duster or slender layered or long sleeve tee.

If solid is your choice, this sky blue Jaga dress is a hit.

Choose one of our  printed lightweight shawls from Faliero Sarti or Avant Toi for those freezing restaurant dinners.
